If you do not agree that a breeder should be compensated for their hard work, we encourage you to check your local recues and shelters that more align with your ideals.
Having a realistic idea about the financial commitment required to obtain a puppy is imperative. A $500 budget is unrealistic when contacting a breeder. Please do not set up an appointment to come to my home unless you have ALREADY determined that a Chihuahua IS the puppy you're looking for. And just a little FYI, if you come to my home for two or more meetings and you do not commit to a puppy or dog (and can't be bothered to send a follow up text to update me out of courtesy)...you will NOT be welcomed back nor responded to in the future.
